Motorists in Queensland will soon be able to claim compensation for an injury or property damage to their cars, even if they’re still driving.
The Insurance Bureau of Queensland has published its Insurance Car Injury Guidelines.
These guidelines outline the best and the worst policies and cover the full range of car insurance products and services.
“We have some of the best policies in the industry and are working hard to keep the cost of the products as low as possible,” said Queensland Insurance Industry Minister Richard Wynne.
“If you buy insurance on a car and you get hit by a car or property, we will cover that damage.”
If you need help deciding what car insurance product or service is right for you, you can use the Queensland Insurance Institute’s Car Insurance Calculator to find out which policies are best for you.

There are different levels of coverage depending on the type of car, vehicle and the type and value of damage that’s caused.
The insurance industry says drivers need to have a minimum of three claims to qualify for any type of coverage, but there are many factors that go into determining what is best for your car.
For example, the type, make and model of car you own, whether you are a young driver, an experienced driver, or a novice driver.
The industry also points out that your insurance should cover your damage when you are injured or killed on the road, and it should cover any damage to your vehicle, including: the impact of the crash, including the vehicle’s brakes, steering and steering wheel
