Posted October 12, 2018 06:13:51 A car was involved in an accident in Port Arthur, Alberni on Wednesday night.
A passenger in the Hyundai Accent died at the scene.
Alberne Police say they have issued an accident insurance policy on behalf of the driver and passenger of the Hyundai.
The car is registered to a business in Port Ayers.
They say it is a Mitsubishis KX10.
Police say it was travelling eastbound on Highway 101, northbound on a median, southbound on the Hume Freeway and then westbound on Port Arthur Road.
It was heading to Port Arthur Airport when it came to a stop in a ditch.
There were no injuries to the driver or passenger.
Alberne Fire and Rescue attended the scene and found a passenger who was taken to a hospital for observation.
The crash is being investigated.
